I recently heard about a great book for literacy instruction. Reaching out to colleagues to see if anyone has read it and can provide feedback.

The Literacy Puzzle by Beverly Tyner

The Literacy Jigsaw Puzzle shows you how to identify, assemble, and deliver a comprehensive literacy plan that includes whole-group instruction, small-group differentiated instruction, and independent practice based on the standards, curriculum, and assessments already in place in your school or district. Beverly Tyner guides you through today’s education challenges, including increasingly diverse classrooms, Response to Intervention, and the Common Core State Standards. You’ll discover how integrated literacy instruction can help you meet the needs of all learners—struggling, typical, and gifted learners as well as unmotivated students, English learners, and students with special needs—and maximize limited classroom time.
